Western media conspiracy against the pride of Assam

The seminar organized by IFNE focused on the topic “Western media conspiracy against the pride of Assam.

The prominent speakers were Mr. Sumanta Chaliha, the President of IFNE, a renowned writer and social scientist from Agriculture University Assam, and Mr. Soumodeep Dutta, a world-renowned environmentalist.
During the seminar, Mr. Sumanta Chaliha addressed the issue of Western media coverage of Assam. He highlighted how the Western media often disrespects Indian culture intentionally and remains largely ignorant about the ancient Indian civilization, which is one of the oldest in the world.
Mr. Soumodeep Dutta, on the other hand, discussed the impact of British rule in Assam. He pointed out that the establishment of tea gardens during the colonial era led to the destruction of forests and resulted in the loss of Assam’s rich flora and fauna. This environmental degradation occurred for the benefit of the Westerners. Mr. Sumanta Chaliha highlighted the Western media’s dishonor of Indian culture, while Mr. Soumodeep Dutta focused on the ecological consequences of British rule in Assam.
