The Y20 seminar at Cotton University

The Y20 seminar at Cotton University will be held with a day-long programme as part of the ongoing G20 Summit across the country at the initiative of the Government of India.

Organized jointly by the Intellectual Forum of the North East in association with Cotton University and Think India, the theme of this event is the Indian Knowledge System: Past, Present and Future from a World Perspective. Dr. Diganta Biswa Sarma highlighted the theme of ‘Youth, Wisdom and Knowledge’ in the first session of this event. Guwahati City Police Commissioner Diganta Bora delivered his speech on the subject of ‘Drugs and Governance’. The two sessions were conducted by Sangeeta Borthakur, associate professor of statistics at Cotton University. Prof. Ramesh Chandra Deka, Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor of Cotton University delivered the welcome address of the last session of the second part on the occasion. This was followed by a speech on the main theme by Dr. Sudhanchu Trivedi, the Rajya Sabha Parliament and one of india’s nationalist speakers. After this, about 500 students of various colleges and universities of Assam and an audience present interacted with him

It is worth mentioning that Y20 is an official consulting platform where all members of the G20, the youth of the country can discuss global issues.
