Gyan Sangam NE India

The Gyan Sangam conference, held in Guwahati on 10th and 11th February 2018, focused on the traditions and socio-cultural ethos of Northeast India.

The conference aimed to connect the social value systems of the region with the Sanathana tradition, highlighting the rich cultural heritage deeply rooted in ancient wisdom.
The conference was part of Pragya Pravah’s larger initiative to organize similar gatherings at six different locations across the country. Guwahati was chosen as one of the venues due to its proximity to the northeastern states and their thriving cultural heritage.
The event brought together notable individuals, including Chief Minister of Assam Sri Sarbananda Sonowal, Minister of Women & Child Development Madhya Pradesh Smti. Archana Chitnis, Saha Sar Karyavah of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh Dr. Krishna Gopal, All India Coordinator of Pragya Pravah Sri J Nandakumar, and renowned TV panelist, screenwriter, and columnist Miss Advaita Kala.
Gyan Sangam aimed to raise awareness and foster appreciation for the traditions and socio-cultural ethos of Northeast India, emphasizing their connection to the broader Sanathana tradition. The conference provided a platform for exploration, discussion, and promotion of the region’s invaluable wisdom and heritage for the benefit of present and future generations.
