Workshop on Portals in Aizawl

 

The “One Day State Level Sensitization, Orientation cum Consultation Workshop on Portals of NCPCR” was organized by National Commission for Protection of Child Rights (NCPCR) in collaboration with the Mizoram State Commission for Protection of Child Rights (MSCPCR) and facilitated by the Intellectual Forum of North East (IFNE). The event took place on 27th March 2023 at the Guest House Auditorium, Mizoram University, Tanhril, Aizawl, Mizoram

The seminar was graced by several dignitaries, including Er. Lalrinawma, the Honorable Social Welfare Minister of the Government of Mizoram, who served as the Chief Guest. Prof. Lh Chhuanawma, a professor at Mizoram University and a Human Rights Activist, was the Special Guest. Smt. Pi Ramchhanzuali, President of MHIP Chawlhhmun Branch, the largest women’s organization in Mizoram, also attended the seminar.
Various officials and representatives were present at the inaugural session, including Smt. Elizabeth Rindingliani, Deputy Secretary of the Social Welfare Department, Government of Mizoram, and Smt. Zodinpuii, Deputy Director of the Social Welfare Department, Government of Mizoram. District Child Protection Units (DCPUs), District Education Officers, and Magistrates SDCs from Aizawl and other districts of Mizoram were also in attendance.
Dr. C Lalsangzuala, Chairman of the Mizoram State Commission for Protection of Child Rights, delivered the welcome address. Smt. Pi Ramchhanzuali, President of MHIP Chawlhhmun Branch, gave the opening remarks, followed by a speech from Prof. Lh Chhuanawma. The Honorable Chief Guest, Er. Lalrinawma, stressed the importance of collaboration among stakeholders for the protection of child rights and the role of mothers.
The vote of thanks was delivered by Dr. David Talisun Thawmthanga, the coordinator for Intellectual Forum of North East – Mizoram Chapter. Following the inaugural function, a group photo session was conducted with all the delegates, including the Chief Guest, Guest of Honour, and other special invitees. The seminar included presentations and an open house discussion.
The event concluded with a concluding remark by a representative from the Mizoram State Commission for Protection of Child Rights (MSCPCR).
