“Revisiting Indian History” with Shri Sanjeev Sanyal

The Intellectual Forum of North East (IFNE) recently organized an interactive session titled “Revisiting Indian History” in collaboration with the Royal Global University in Guwahati.

The event aimed to shed light on the lesser-known history of the northeast region of India and the country as a whole.
The guest speaker at the event was Shri Sanjeev Sanyal, an Indian economist, writer, environmentalist, and urban theorist. He also holds the position of Principal Economic Adviser in the Ministry of Finance to the Government of India. During his address to the gathering, Shri Sanyal brought attention to various aspects of history that have remained unheard or unpublished.
Dr. Dipankar Kalita, the CEO of IFNE, delivered the welcome address and introduced Shri Sanjeev Sanyal as the chief guest. Dr. Kalita emphasized the importance of rewriting history based on accurate facts and conducting debates among intellectuals across the country. The goal was to bring forth the true historical narrative and encourage a deeper understanding of India’s past.
