The book “Lokmanthan Vrittant” was launched by the Intellectual Forum of the North East ( IFNE ) at the North Eastern Development Finance Corporation Limited Hall, Dispur, Guwahati today, Sunday, July 7, It is worth mentioning that in 2022, intellectuals, writers and cultural artists from 25 states of India has participate in the 4 day event. The book is an attempt to preserve the resources for future generations. The book was launched by the Intellectual Forum of the North East (IFNE) and Prajna Pravah. The guest of honor and National Coordinator of Prajna Pravah, eminent writer J. Nandakumar highlighted the rich and heritage folk traditions of India through “Lokmanthan Vrittant” Shri J Nandakumar said that we must all work together to resist the conspiracy to divide Indian society with fake narratives created by some anti-nationals about Indian heritage, traditions and folk culture. The book was launched by Hon’ble Cabinet Minister of Assam Government Shri Jayant Malla Baruah as the Chief Guest, Mr Baruah said “Cultural Nationalism of India holds every Indian together irrespective of language, culture and tradition”. Mr. Sudarshan Thakur, Secretary, Sankardev Kalakshetra, was the special guest and recalled the many golden memories of Lokmanthan-2022 and expressed the far-reaching impact of Lokmanthan which is still spreading among the younger generation. The book launch was attended by more than 200 people from different parts of Assam and Shri Anjan Kumar Borah, President, Ifne was also present at the event.
